Southfield, Michigan. I went to a preview event yesterday morning (from 8 to 9) and was invited to return today at 8AM for priority attention. But they told me that they had no stock available and they would ship it to me at no cost. They said all of the units they received were already spoken for by small business customers.

Mayfield Hts, Ohio. Store opened early without any real notice. There was a two hour wait when I arrived 5 minutes before the store was supposed to open. They had none available, but suggested that more "might" arrive while you are waiting. Offered to order one for you, but you still had to wait the two hours for a CSR. I just called in and ordered it.
Verizon dropped the ball... IMHO of course.

Austin, TX is sold out in stores already. I tried to get one this morning. I showed up 15 minutes before they opened and there was no line, but the doors were open already and they were already sold out... they opened early apparently.... stupid Verizon Store....

Sold out in South Houston so quick.... I wonder if they were ever really there. I'm guessing 10-15 units max, nice stock for "Verizon's biggest release ever", as one saleman said. Waited in line just to order my phone and to think, I coulda slept in. Oh well, watching for the FedEx truck now.

Washington DC -- I arrived at the store at 8am (published opening time) and there was a fairly substantial line. After waiting about an hour a rep announced to the waiting crowd that they had only received one box of Storms and that they would not have enough for those waiting. They could have easily predicted that and wish they would have told us before waiting in line...

As I told BBCool a few days ago, VZW was going to Direct-Fulfill the majority of these phones. Most stores in SoCal opened at 7AM PST. I passed by a few stores this morning and lines were definitely long. Good luck to everyone and happy Storm day!

Akron, Ohio...was told at the hands on preview yesterday that even though the store was not "officially" opening early this morning, it was probably a good idea to get there before the advertised 9AM opening time and that they would likely be handing out vouchers around 8AM. Just in case, I got there around 6:15, and, as luck would have it, the doors swung open at 7:45 and I walked out with the first one. By the time I was leaving, there was easily 30+ people in the store, so I;'m sure there were several shortly after I left who were going home either empty handed or with a direct fulfillment order to be delivered. I was told yesterday they they would have 15-20 units. Before the store opened their doors, they brought them all out front and put them behind the sales counter...there were maybe 15 at most on hand at this location.

Picked one up at a corp store in Salt Lake City. I got one of the last two. They opened at 7 and I got there around 7:45. There was a line but we were all inside so it wasn't anything like when I picked up the iPhone 3G. Smooth, mostly.

Worked with my rep to secure one via direct fullfillment... but even that had to be done at the crack of dawn. Ordered my at 6am for Saturday delivery... he emailed me back an hour later to say that the entire inventory has been depleeted and that any orders placed after 8am would not be done until Monday. Mine was in at about 6:45, so I'll wait and see if the Fedex man arrives tomorrow.

Couldn't got this morning so ordered online around 8:30 AM (living in NYC, I didn't feel like getting up at 4 AM either). Hoping it ships today, but expect it won't ship until tomorrow and maybe I will get it Monday.

You can;t buy one because the entire point of sale system for _all_ stores is down. Not that it matters anyway, they didn't send enough to each store.

Waited on line at 7am at my local mall. One of 5 people to get one. Its cool, glad to get rid of the iphone.

A bit slow and buggy, cant wait for a software update. Still love it though.

Seems to me like Verizon pulled the same stunt as Sprint did with the Instinct and only gave out a limited quantity of phones per store in order to build hype. For the people trying to get a phone, it stinks. All part of the big marketing game.

Victorville, Ca store had approximately 100 units. I was called on Wednesday and asked if I would like them to reserve me one. I said yes for 700am when the store opened. Appts were being taken and phones were held for customers. I don't know which customers they were doing this for. I have 7 lines with Verizon and am a small business owner, so that might be the reason. So far phone is amazing

There doesnt seem to be that big of a demand in Orange County. At least not as big as the photos we've seen so far, but then again we do have stores all over the place.

Houston, TX. I went to the store at about 11/11:30am. Asked the lady for one and she said it would be no problem. She said they were in the store and I could walk out with one today. Very nice lady and even set-up my e-mail and VZ navigator for me and let me play around with the phone before I decided to buy it. It all took about 30 minutes and I was out the door. She did say that they were sold out earlier but then received another small shipment right before I came in. I don't know how true that is, but either way I figured I lucked-out big time. I'm very glad to be back with "THE Network".

I am sure I'll catch heat for saying this, but I waited in line, had one in my hand and then walked away. Sorry, gang. That phone is slow as death and buggy as all heck. I'll stick with my Curve for now until they get all of the kinks worked out. The phone is severely under-powered for the OS it has to support. What a let down.

I was the only one in line (I was 5th) that got one. I had talked to the manager a month ago. He called me yesterday and told me they had one with my name on it. I guess I got lucky.

I've had a problem with the accelerometer a few times, but nothing major, and the rest is fantastic. I'm already in love it. After an update or two, it'll be perfect.

Check out BGR's theory. He peeled back the white sticker with the barcodes on it, and found another one just like it, but with a higher OS build.

Richardson, TX - I call around on the 20th to see if there were any waiting lists. All verizon stores had waiting lists and said that most likely won't be able to get one any time soon. So I call some authorized dealers and asked the same thing. One store had no one on the waiting list. So I added my name. Next day the 21st, I call up the store and made sure they had one. Went to the store. No one was there to get one. Walked right in, walked right out with the new blackberry storm. They had only received 6 in there store and I got one. Not too many people interested in authorized dealers.

I was able to get one today and was very happy. I got it at the Verizon store in Huntington, NY. It was pretty busy but not packed. I heard many other stores in the area were sold out. I recieved one of the last storm's and the verizon people were very helpful, they set up my email and were plesant.

I got a storm at 11:30am in Charlote, NC... they had a second shipment come in when arrived. In total they sold 52 Storms today at my location. It is a neat little touchscreen marvel with an awesome image!

Well guys, I picked one up in the South Bay (Los Angeles) this morning. I went by the store yesterday afternoon and they gave me an appt for this morning at 8:30. I thought that maybe there wouldnt be much demand after the mediocre (and worse) reviews, but then I got there and there were 20 or so people in line and the store was packed. I picked mine up, set it up and played with it all day, and I'm returning it tomorrow. Way too slow, way too buggy, and, worst of all, I dont get coverage in my house (not the Storm's issue, but VZW's). Without wifi, it's a deal breaker. I think the phone has potential, but given that I'm with ATT now it is simply not worth switching. I'll wait for the Storm 2 or the NA GSM version with wifi, thanks!

Got mine yesterday. Bristol, Tennessee Best Buy had 1, I have it. Johnson City store had 4 sold out in minutes, and were taking names for todays shipment of 7. Cellular Sales is expecting 130 to be delivered throughout their stores by Monday. Verizon would not sell you one unless you were 1. A new customer, or 2. Up for renewal. The phone took a little getting used to, but I love it. I tranfered my phone number by phone to verizon and it took all of 20 minutes. I'm looking forward to the updates, as I am sure there will be many.

Got one. But honestly, not worth the hype. I like my world edition much better. I have little fingers and the "buttons" are too far apart in landscape mode. I'm just not in love with it like I had hoped to be. Maybe for folks that aren't BB power users will like it. It is also really slow. Go figure...

Grand Rapids, MI - pre-ordered from Best Buy. There was one other pre-order at that store, and they had two more phones available for retail. I was the first one to pick one up at noon, but during the 20 minutes that I was there, the rest sold out. People were coming there after the VZW store down the road sold out.

As for the phone... not too bad. Heavy learning curve with the touchscreen keyboard. Calibration seems a little off (when i touch the screen, it registers slightly to the right of where i touch). Wish the transitions between screens and apps were faster... they just make the phone seem slow. Response times are relatively slow, and I have had quite a bit of hourglass waiting time while doing normal tasks.

I think the hardware is good, but like everyone else i'm hoping for some software updates.

I got one today. Erie, PA. They only had 2 in stock when I got there and they wouldn't sell it to me for full retail price, so I added a line and am canceling a line on my plan today. It is a quite impressive phone.

I made one call today to a VZW store, they said that they had one on hold but I could get it if I came in right away, speeding 15 minutes later to the store it was all mine, the manager said the guy he was holding it for changed his mind and now wanted a Treo, I was laughing all the way home!

Milwaukee - Had bought my daughter a Pearl a few days ago. I wasn't going to be able to go early but told they would ship it. I arrive at noon and walked out with the Storm 30 minutes later. Just lucky I guess.

Got my storm today. I have a biz acct and called my acct mgr. He had it overnighted yesterday. It is really awesome. The interface is better than iphone in some ways, but lacks the fluid movement of the iphone. All in all, glad I got it.

I was in the Southfield,MI store to get my fiance one of these things. I was there an hour after the store opened. I was told they were sold out at the store but that the one I purchased would be shipped to my home today Saturday by 1pm. I still have no phone. I went to the verizon store they informed me that it was not their fault that fed ex was overwhelmed with the shipments and we will not see it until Tuesday morning because it wont ship until Monday. I was disgusted to say the least I paid extra for it to be delivered today!

Got mine at 6 p.m. today from the local best buy. I asked them yesterday if they would have extra today and the Mobile Mgr said that if no one showed up their appt today he would call me. At 5 pm got the call! Testing it out now so far so good very nice!

Emeryville, California Verizon store had a line of approximately 200 people at 6:40 am. I was #20 in line. They had 50 in the store, so they were all gone by 7:30. They did get another 50 in later that afternoon, but I heard those were gone before 4 pm. A friend of mine was told that hers will not ship until 12/15.

Glad that I didn't stay with the Best Buy store and got my pre-order deposit. Lots of people did pre-order and less than half of them who showed up to get them yesterday actually got one.

St. Paul, Minnesota store received 12. I showed up at 4:30am to wait and the next showed up at 5:00. The store opened at 8 and were sold out in about 10 minutes. Great phone...

Disaster. Ordered at 8:01 am Friday from Verizon for overnight shipping. Didn't arrive. Verizon hadn't even process order by Saturday night. Canceled and went to ATT. Go the Bold. Great phone.

I hear from a company insider that there was a major hardware glitch with the Storm. They only had 25,000 in stock for the whole country.

Hardware glitch seems to be resolved. Updated through Desktop Manager, and now much faster and smoother than when purchased on Friday.

I was the LAST accepted pre-order at W.Hollywood bestbuy on 11/15 and walked in at 9.30am on 11/21 and was first to walk out of the store with one in hand. I think I got lucky.

I left BB to go to the VZW store (that coincidentally did not ever give me a call even though I was placed on their "list") just to grab a car charger and was given attitude by two VZ employees standing outside of their store with clipboards trying to get me to stand in a line. I showed him I already had the phone and he still wouldn't let me in. Verizon store employee's have CONSISTENTLY been awful but that's beside the point.

I like the phone, and yes the little bugs and slowness will likely be fixed shortly, but I am NOT adjusting well to having to type slower.

I was a power-typer on my Curve and ultimately want the Bold for the physical keypad but Verizon in all their glory won't be showing that model for at least another 6 months.

I have had the phone for almost 4 days now and am totally comfortable with using it, just trying to decide if I need to take it back and rejoice with my Curve, and its keypad.
