CDMA shouldn't take too long, as all they need to do is swap out some of the wireless chips, yet preferably keeping it a world phone, compared to re-optimizing the handheld for bigger batter drains.

W-CDMA is the air interface for UMTS, the 3G successor to GSM.
Doesn't mean there is a CDMA version of the Bold (i.e. CDMA2000 for the likes of Verizon/Sprint/Alltel/etc.), it means it's 3G GSM (for ATT/TMO/etc.).
Confusing, I know.
